Brief Christmas Music Break

'Tis the season for caroling, but here are two songs that you might hear this month, which are not your standard Christmas carols.  The first one ultimately comes from the Dr. Seuss cartoon The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.  The YouTube user Biolleo recorded and posted this heavy metal version of Mr. Grinch.

The second and last selection comes from another cartoon, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol.  Its title, We're Despicable, comes from the first line, but it's also known as Plunderer's March.  In this scene, the three plunderers go to a pawn shop to see how much money they can get for things they've scavenged from the bedroom of a recently deceased "stiff".  The pawnbroker joins them in some musical self-deprecating humor.

The videos may be watched on YouTube here and here.
