Links For A Cyclone-Bombed Thursday

As the bomb-cyclone ravages the east coast, here are some other things going on:

From AP News, Attorney General Jeff Sessions will enforce federal laws against marijuana, whether the states like it or not.  (The story comes via Legal Insurrection.  Although laws against smoking weed tend to come from the right, this still gets a "big government" label.)

From LifeNews, a new law in Illinois requires doctors and pregnancy centers to provide abortion referrals.  (This development would be a left wing example of "big government".)

From the New York Post, if you want to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it's gonna cost ya.

From PoliZette, the acting head of ICE says that border walls work.

From the Rutland Herald, a man fails at robbery due to a language barrier.  (via Fox News)

From The Daily Caller, ISIS faults Hamas for not being hateful enough.

From The Local NO, the number of asylum seekers in Norway in 2017 was the lowest since 1995.

From the Daily Sabah, fewer illegal migrants are dying, but the migration continues.

From the Express, an LBC host grills London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

From Sky News, former Prime Minister Tony Blair wants the U.K. to re-think Brexit.  (via Breitbart London)

From Sputnik International, the French government claims that a proposed law against "fake news" will not target the opposition and critics.  (This begs an obvious question.  Who gets to decide which news is fake?)

From The Local FR, in announcing the law, French President Emmanuel Macron, makes a "veiled reference" to certain Russian sites.

From The Spectator, Macron is troubled by "the queen of France".

From the Lancashire Telegraph, a new Islamic school will be built in Blackburn, which will be able to accommodate 800 boys.  (This would be one boy for every five holes that John Lennon once sung about.  And what about the girls?)

From FrontpageMag, what are the Iranians protesting?

From AhlulBayt News Agency, an Iranian Ayatollah blames foreigners.

From the Irish Mirror, the Egyptian man who stabbed one man and attacked two others in Ireland had been denied asylum in the United Kingdom.  (via the Mirror)

From Voice Of Europe, German women are scared due to sexual assault from migrants.

From Townhall, Steve Bannon's self-destruction, "in three steps".  ("Gimme three steps, gimme three steps, mister", as Ronnie Van Zant once sang.)

From Vox, please don't eat Tide Pods.

And from Barstool Sports, a man plays with a snake he found in his toilet.
